I know! At first I thought the model was wearing two wigs, one atop the other. Then I looked at her sweater and thought, "Take out the shoulder pads and that is a very wearable pattern, with that wide panel of lace down the front to keep you from knitting boredom."
I agree, if it was presented in a 1950s style it would look so much better. I find that a lot with 80s patterns - it's hard to get over the hideousness of the styling to appreciate the pattern!
Omg I totally forgot I was supposed to be looking at the knitwear! She seems more like she accidentally got dressed in the dark from her grannys closet instead of her usual punk ripped T or something ;)
There's still a few women round here sporting that style! I blame them for global warming! x
ReplyDeleteI have lurked here quite a bit without commenting, but just thought I'd tell you that I love these posts . They never fail to make me laugh, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy! I aim to please - plus you wouldnt believe how exciting it is to find them :)

I immediately thought Linda Hamilton in Terminator, too! Although maybe hers wasn't as bad...? I love the sweater though. :)
