Yesterday we took a trip to St. Andrews for the day - look, this is me standing outside the ruined cathedral (?), er, abbey? Yep, you can tell I wasn't paying too much attention. But it was cool nonetheless. This was my belated birthday day out, as I had requested to go somewhere where I could walk on the beach, eat fish and chips and look at some interesting shops. Mission accomplished.
I purchased some excellent knitting patterns for Pattern Monday and also managed to wear 4 homemade items -
Cape,
cardigan,
skirt and as-yet-unblogged blouse.
In the evening we had a delicious feast of cheese, olives, smoked mackerel pate, anchovies in oil (the absolute BEST, trust me, even if you think you don't like anchovies) and delicious bread. The evening was rounded off with a couple of drinks at a new local bar and restaurant, which was very enjoyable.
Now all that remains is for me to remind you of the giveaway for the vintage pattern of your choice from
Miss Betty's Attic. See
here for full details.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It looks very chilly there, thank goodness for your glorious cape to fend off any chill in the air! I'll skip the fishy bits but the rest of your lunch looks delish! x
