I am giving them all away to one lucky winner and am happy to post worldwide BUT there is a catch... I would like you to try and make one of them before December this year, as per the Vintage Pledge challenge. Or at least attempt to make one! You don't have to have a sewing blog to enter either, I should point out. You have 9 months to make something, so there is plenty of time.
Here are the patterns:
Style 1943 in Bust 34" - includes the floral embroidery transfer
Style 4055 - Bust 34"
Simplicity 8588 - Bust 32 1/2"
Simplicity 5756 - Size 6/6/10 (23", 24", 25" waist). Promises 'Overnight Success'! Looks like it would be easy to make with a forgiving fit
Style 3888 - Sizes 12/14/16 (26 1/2", 28" and 30" waist - uncut so all sizes intact) This workhorse pattern includes all the garments pictured. The crop top is pretty contemporary but I love the red dress with the drawstring waist - it would totally be my choice to make from the bunch of patterns
Simplicity 5852 - Size 10 (25 1/2" waist). This is for the shorts and trousers only. But what shorts and trousers! Side ponytail optional.
Style 1903 - Bust 34" - I think this is styled as 'beach cover-up', but I'm thinking 'Hungover Day'
Simplicity 7457 - Bust 34". This is a real classic pattern I've seen a few bloggers make before. Unfortunately it is marked on the back to say it's missing the collar and sleeve pieces [EDIT - all pieces are there!] but even so, the sleeveless top is sweet and classic
As these patterns have been provided by Alexa in the spirit of good will, please do not sell the patterns but passing them on to others via your blog or in a swap is fine. I haven't checked them for completeness (apart from comments noted about the last one) but they all appear to be cut and have instructions. I should add that Alexa didn't specify that the winner should try to use one pattern this year - that was my addition to help make sure they would be used and appreciated.
If you would like to enter, please comment below and say which is your favourite. All comments received by Tuesday 31st March at 7pm UK time will be eligible to enter. Please make sure your email address is included in your comment or is easy to find on your blog or profile.
Good luck!

I love Style 3888.
ReplyDeleteHi. Just to say the Simplicity 7457 does have the sleeve and collar pieces, I've made it up and they're all there. I don't know why it's marked that they are missing on the back. Good luck to everyone.
ReplyDeleteI am loving 7457 and how fortunate that I am a 34 bust! There is also something very sweet about 4055. Thanks for a fab giveaway. X
ReplyDeleteI love Style 1943. Totally goes with my sewing plans for summer.
ReplyDeleteOh my, style 4055 is my favorite, I would start it immediately, such a great shape for summer!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity 8588 - Bust 32 1/2" is awesome for me! If I win, it will be the first vintage pattern ever in my stash, so excited! Thank you Kerry and Alexa for the chance :)
ReplyDeleteI love 7457 but please don't include me in the giveaway as I have way too many vintage patterns as is. Lovely idea though, there are some great designs. Hangover day *hahaha*! Xx
ReplyDeleteOoh what a great prize! I love the first three - the second is probably my favourite but I think I'd look better in the first one! :)
ReplyDeleteI like 1903 %)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to put my stamp on Simplicity 7457. I'm all about making blouses at the moment (blog is about a month behind real sewing) and it's my bust size.
ReplyDeleteThis is very kind from you two, ladies. Thank you very much! And they are my bust size, so it's perfect. I am not a trouser's girl, but the trousers patter stole my heart.
ReplyDeleteMy mail is: sakumanyu@gmail.com
Thank you for the giveaway. I think I'd go too for the drawstring dress :)

I love the Simplicity 8588! It looks perfect for summer.
ReplyDelete(crossing my fingers...)
I love the first one! And embroidery pattern included- exciting! Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteHas to be Simplicity 5852. Trousers, with high waist and pockets and belted and my size! Paradise in a pattern envelope.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the oversize hoodie cover-up! But to wear in real life I also love the red drawstring waisted dress. Good luck to everybody!
ReplyDeleteI had dresses like the first three when I was a teenager, all made by me. I may have used the same patterns but there were lots of variations of them. It is still my favourite window of fashion - comfortable, floaty, arty dresses, I still love them!
ReplyDeletePS oh, this isn't me entering btw, I missed that it was a giveaway, I was just loving the patterns! But don't put me in the draw xo
DeleteOoh, what a great giveaway! I love the last one, the cute little blouses.
ReplyDeleteI love some of these, especially the last one. Please add me to your prize draw.
ReplyDeleteStyle 1943 for me, I recently tried bidding on that pattern but didn't win it! I'm also rather taken with the looser elasticated waist styles of the late 70's at the moment so I also like simplicity 8588. Style 1903 and 4055 are also great patterns.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely giveaway!
ReplyDeleteStyle 1903 is my favourite! I love the hoodie and the pockets (both versions)!
I'd love it as a top too.
Oh, Style 3888 certainly... I too love the look of that red dress! Thank you for generous giveaway
ReplyDeleteI love simplicity 8588. I used to have a dress just like that. It would be cool to try to make it now. Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd madke up the last one 7457, so cute it would look great with jeans and some summer sun! Fantastic giveaway I love the blackmail aspect - fan idea!
ReplyDeleteI'd make the last one. So cute. Thanks for the cracking giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the Style 3888. And I agree with you. The red dress with drawstring is catching my attention too. And the shorter version (2). Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea for a giveaway! I love style 1943 and could totally see me making this. I love the idea of embroidery on clothes.
ReplyDeleteStyle 4055 is AMAZING, not seeing myself pulling off the full length version but the puff sleeves look really cute to be made up into a pyjama/house dress and the long sleeve would be nice to make up into a work dress. I'm all signed up to the vintage pledge and would need a deadline to get myself into gear!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!!! :)
I love Simplicity 7457!! The the version with the peter pan collar and sleeves is perfection!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Thanks!

Thank you for the giveaway. My favorite is the last one 7457, A very cute basic pattern for blouses, although I would love them all since patterns are hard to come by in my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteHugs.

Ooooo the culottes/ shorts on Style 3888 are just what I have been looking to make for a trip to California in May. I am sure I could manage them by then (?!?). Great giveaway, thanks! a(dot)j(dot)rogers(at)live(dot)com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the last pattern-Simplicity 7457, versions 1 and 2. Thanks for the giveaway! (sasinowskik@gmail.com)

ReplyDeleteOops!! Sorry about the double entry. I got an error message the first time and didn't think it went thru.
DeleteMy favorite is the style 1943, but sadly I'm not a bust 34". I'm only a beginner so I wonder if it's possible to change the sizing.
ReplyDeleteLove Simplicity 5852 it's lovely ! i'd love to win this and give to my best friend as a gift ! ♥
