Share Your Sewing Swap Goodies!

Hello Swappers

By now you should have all received your package from your swap partner, and I know that most of you have posted about what you received. I hope you all enjoyed taking part, it's been really fun to host it and to see blog posts popping up about it.

I am definitely going to run another swap again later on this year, so I would love any feedback you have - just let me know in the comments or by email at kestrelmail@gmail.com

Below, you can add a link directly to your blog post, so you can share your goodies, and also see what everyone else got of course! I hope this link thing works - it's the first time I've used such a thing on my blog, so as you can imagine it's a terribly exciting time for me.

Here goes....

  1. Oh dear Kestrel, I have been a very naughty swaper and have only just posted my parcel to Portia! I have let her know though...apologies for not sticking to the rules, but its been crazy around here. Thanks for organising it, I will be sure to do a post (and link back to you) on my goodies when I receive them x

    1. Don't worry, as you've let her know I'm sure that will be fine. Look forward to hearing about both of your parcels!

    2. I've also been a very naughty swapper and haven't posted my parcel off to Dibs yet! I feel terrible, but I'm still waiting for two vital components to arrive from online (because we don't have a lot of choice in local sewing shops over here in Belfast). I've let Dibs know, but I hope she's not too miffed!!!

  11. Yay, I loved participating in this swap: both hunting for goodies to send and unwrapping my exciting parcel from overseas! It's always the simplest ideas that work the best. Thanks so much for hosting this kerry, I'll definitely be on board for the next one. x

    1. Forgot to add my feedback. It was a really good idea advising us to try and get to know our partner through reading their blog - this definitely helped. Also putting an upper limit on how much to spend kept it realistic and made us more creative in what we chose! x

  12. I too really loved this swap and would love to participate again! I agree with Jane, the guidelines were incredibly helpful and definitely made me have to think creatively (especially that item limit one). So thanks! And please count me in on the next one!

  14. I loved every part of it. It was very useful having a budget, deadline and number of items. I would have been lost without those ground rules. I can't think of anything that I would suggest needed to be changed - as it all worked a treat from my perspective! Thanks again for organising it :-)
