So, you may remember the appearance of these ladies in Pattern Monday back in January this year:
Don't they just remind you of The Witches of Eastwick?
Now, can you imagine how delighted I was to find this in a charity shop:
It's the next pattern in the series! Bet you didn't think that hair could get any bigger, eh? Such is their devotion to one-colour dressing that they are even wearing grey tights.
Bravo ladies. Seriously, Bravo.

Beyond ghastly.
ReplyDeleteWow. I love that movie though. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is the worst thing I've ever seen! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, my first thought here was less on the crazy-hair-and-monochrome tip and more along the lines of trying to imagine living in a world in which I needed that many grey sweaters.
ReplyDeleteI know - can you imagine how depressing it would be to knit one of those outfits?!
DeleteUrrghhh - patterns like these give knitting a bad name, whilst hairstyles like these gave the 80s a bad name!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD, THE HAIR!! *dies of awesomeness*
ReplyDeleteI love it when things are so ugly they are good. And this is it.
Penny Dreadful Vintage
I've really got to dig out my 1980's perm photos!! x
ReplyDeleteHey, porridge is not just for breakfast, you could knit it into things in the 80's ;-) And it made an excellent hair cement too!
ReplyDeleteoh wow you just brought back some great memories - The Witches of Eastwick is a fabulous movie but I think their hair can get bigger!
ReplyDeleteWowsers. that hair is BIG!
ReplyDeleteBahahaha this made me laugh - thank you!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest the hair is saving them from the grey outfits!!
ReplyDeleteHehehehe! This is fabulous! Do you think the first pattern sold so well they released a second, what a disturbing thought! Oh and just imagine having to knit all that grey for the pattern! Gosh that would put you off knitting for life!
ReplyDeleteWow that is quite a find! Just goes to show there are some styles that will never come back in fashion (we hope anyway!). Thanks for making me laugh.
ReplyDeleteOMG I laughed so hard at this - not just the hair but that hideous grey wool! ;)
