Since starting my blog a year and a half ago, I have really loved being part of the sewing blogger community. I have been inspired by seeing things that others have made, have learned so much through tutorials and sewalongs, and have been encouraged by the lovely comments that you have left on my blog.
When Debi announced her Sew Grateful Week, I though this would be a great opportunity to say a big 'Thank You' to everyone who reads, and takes the time to comment - I really am 'sew grateful'. How better to show my gratitude than to give away a fabulous Colette Pattern?
Beignet #2 in cord
I have made the Sencha (3 times), Beignet (twice), Rooibos, Crepe, Violet (not blogged yet!), I have Peony and Jasmine lined up and a list of the next patterns I'd love to make. I love Colette Patterns because the designs are beautiful and classic, and with their fab instructions, they're hard to beat. And I know they are much beloved amongst you all too! Which one would you pick?
Pretty Peony? The choice is yours... (Image from Colette Patterns)
So, here's how to enter:
- Be a follower of my blog through Google Friend Connect or Bloglovin'
- Leave a comment to say which Colette Pattern you would like to win - and why
- Entries are welcome from anywhere in the world - I will post worldwide
- Giveaway closes next Sunday, 12th February, at 5pm GMT.
Good luck!

YAY! What a lovely giveaway! I'll be sure to highlight this in the Sew Grateful week as well and while I'm at it...I'll toss my name in the hat....I would love the violet blouse or the ginger skirt or the peony dress or the macaron dress...oh my...so many good patterns to choose from!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. My sister-in-law, who's from Scotland, introduced me to Colette patterns. I don't have any yet but am hopefully getting the book for my birthday. I'd love the win the Violet or the Beignet!
ReplyDeletexo Noelle, Australia http://sewelle-noelle.blogspot.com.au/
Wow! What a fantastic thing to do! Thank you for a fab giveaway chance! I think the violet or beignet, they're all so pretty! I'm working on a macaron dress at the moment. Thanks again!
ReplyDeletethis is quite a generous giveaway. I have only ever made 1 colette pattern, the sorbetto, although I have Beignet and macaron. I would like to win the oolong.I want it because its bias cut, and I would like to attempt a bias dress.
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you! I would love to win the Jasmine. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI feel a bit cheeky entering this, but I'm going to throw my hat into the ring anyway! If I won I'd go for the Eclair pattern x
ReplyDeleteOoh I would love the Crepe pattern, thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. I'd love the beignet pattern as it looks like it would be a good every day skirt plus I've not made anything with buttons before and I;m up for that challenge.
ReplyDeleteHow nice!! I would absolutely love to win the Sencha pattern. I've been wanting to make it for soooo long. It's such a classic blouse.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet giveaway!
yeahh.. exciting to see how your violet comes along. Im crazy about the Lady grey. xx
ReplyDeleteWow, what a giveaway! I'd love to have the Crepe dress pattern. The only Colette pattern I've attempted is the Negroni, so I'd love to have something beautiful for myself instead (I'm selfish, you see). Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, thanks so much Kestrel! I'd love to be in with a chance of adding a Peony or Ceylon to my pattern collection, because every version I've seen of each has been beautiful! Can't wait to see your Violet by the way!
ReplyDeleteWow, fab giveaway Kerry. I'd love to win the Chantilly, it would fit nicely into my 'year of the dress'! x
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I love Colette patterns. I really want to add Beignet to my wardrobe...I've seen so many beautiful versions of it!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - thanks so much for such a fabulous giveaway!!! I have been following you on Bloglovin for quite a while now, so I'm throwing my hat in the ring for this. Um...but which one would I pick??!! I've put 'sew a Colette pattern' as one of my 12 in 2012 goals this year, but I don't own one yet so this would certainly help me along the way should I win! I would pick either the Violet, Peony or Macaron!
ReplyDeleteFabulous givaway!!! I always think its such a pleasure just reading all these wonderful blogs, to get the chance at a giveaway as well is icing on the cake! Would love the Beignet as I've been lusting after it for some time and love every single version I've seen so far...here's hoping :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet giveaway! I would love to own the Roobios. I have a couple of Colette patterns, and I'd love to add to that collection; they're so lovely to sew with.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's very generous of you. Thanks for that. I would like either the Ginger or the Beignet because my friend Sam would like me to make a skirt for her. Sam is tall and wonderfully curvy and has difficulty finding ready to wear clothes that fit well. I've been told that Colette patterns are designed for curvy women so I would love to make her a skirt from one. Also, I follow you on Google reader, that does count? I tried signing up for Google connect but it doesn't seem to work right.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope I win this one, I love your blog AND Colette patterns! If I was to choose a pattern from Colette right now, it would have to be the sencha. I've been eyeing it for a while, and I am really starting to enjoy wearing blouses! I've never been a blouse wearer, but after making the taffy, I'm hooked. I've done the Sewaholic Pendrell... and that's it. I need more blouse patterns!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, thanks so much. Without a doubt the Beignet would be my choice. Like all the Colette patterns I've seen great variations, but this skirt is one I'm longing to try.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. I would love to make Beignet as I have promised myself I will wear more skirts this year.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you, this is an awesome giveaway! Personally I'm dying to make the Violet, and I want to see your version, stat!
ReplyDeletestrugglesewsastraightseam.wordpress.com
What a fabulous giveaway. I would love a chance at the Clover pattern because I'm determined to make my first pair of (wearable!) trousers this year. I follow your blog though Google Reader… I hope this counts? Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely giveaway ! OOO yes please ! Count me in :-) I would LOVE the Cinnamon as I think it would be lovely under wrap dresses, A La Kirstie Allsop ! Thanks again x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. I’d go for the Beignet. Every blogger seems to have made at least one and I’d love to make one in a sage green or brown corduroy. It’s such a flattering shape and I love the buttons on the front. It’ll give me a good opportunity to practise button holes.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be cheeky and enter this one, too! I would love the Jasmine-- all the versions popping up online are adorable!
ReplyDeleteAhh, what a great giveaway! I would definitely go for the Chantilly - I'm actually in the process of saving up for it right now :) I want to make a bunch of super floaty dresses and wear them with my cardi when I finally get it all knitted up! You know, in a million years lol ;)
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! I've been following you on Bloglovin' and just joined via Friend Connect. I would love to win the Oolong -- I'm becoming convinced that simple but beautiful dresses on the bias might be the perfect wardrobe staple for me. It seems like one of Colette's most underrated patterns and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on one. Thanks for a great giveaway!! ustreetmove at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway Kerry. I would choose the Chantilly after seeing Tasia's version I've dreamed of one ever since.
ReplyDeleteWowza, what a cool giveaway, thank you Kerry. I think I'd go for the Peony .....
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice giveaway! I'm currently working on a Peony. I would love Beignet, it's so cute and I'm afraid of button holes so I need a project to give me some confidence!
ReplyDeleteSuch a generous giveaway, I would love the Beignet, its the first Colette pattern I found on the net and I fell in love with it at once, but I am working my way through the Colette sewing handbook at the moment.
ReplyDeleteIt's a hard choice, but I'd go for either the Clover or the Violet (for the great collar, of course).
ReplyDeleteHmm, I've been meaning to give the Crepe a go, but both the Eclair and Chantilly dresses look so good too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway - thank you! I would go for the Oolong dress as I haven't seen that many versions of it but the ones I have seen are lovely (see Handmade Jane's and Mena's, for example). Plus working on the bias would be a new technique for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway. I'd like to turn my hand at the crepe
ReplyDeleteI would love to add the Ginger to my collection on Colette patterns! :) I need more pretty seperate staples in my wardrobe and it has just enough variation.
ReplyDeleteHi, I subscribe to your blog on Google Reader. I am learning to sew and I'm working up the courage to make my first garment. I would love to win Ginger, as my ambition is to make myself an a-line skirt. Thanks for a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway. You have made some lovely garments from Collette patterns, how nice to share! I fancy the Jasmine blouse, it is just so pretty and feminine.
ReplyDeleteI've had to follow on my reader as friend connect wouldn't load. I love the Chantilly pattern, it's a nice flattering retro style which is what I'm loving atm.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Giveaway! I would love to try out the Clover pants or the Peony! I adore Colette!
ReplyDeleteYay for Sew Grateful!

ReplyDeleteI purchased (though haven't sewn yet) a Peony, Ceylon and Violet during the black friday sale, but my heart is still crying out for Rooibos.
ReplyDeleteI am subscribed to your blog, and love your Colette creations, among others, of course. I already made Sencha and Clover, but now I really would like to make Beignet - have seen so many great versions! So, Beignet is my choice - good luck to everyone!

ReplyDeleteSo great I discovered your blog! I am now a follower via bloglovin. Thanks for hosting thsi great giveaway. You are truly a Colette fan. Choosing a Colette pattern is tough, aren't they all fantastic?! But I think I'd go with the Chantilly because I can't wait for summer and am longing for this pefect summer dress. In polka dots, preferably :)

Ooh, great giveaway. But how to choose pnly one pattern... I'd like the macaron dress, or the jasmine blouse. Why? Because they are pretty!!! I love colette patterns too. The vintage inspiration, and they are well drafted, with great instructions. Here's my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeletecraftedbyme@rocketmail.com

ReplyDeletetina_crossgrove(at)hotmail(dot)com
Oh how lovely! I love so many of the colette patterns. I would probably choose the parfait!
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between the Macaroon and the Cinnamon. There are things I love about both. If I am lucky enough to win, I promise to make a speedy decision between the two. Until then, I'll keep dreaming of both...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway! I love Colette patterns and have so far made the Ceylon and Licorice! I love the sewing handbook too. I would love to win a Macaron
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! It's so hard to choose just one, but my wardrobe can always use more separates, so I think I'd have to pick the Violet.

macska at gmail dot com
Oh beautiful work, I would love the Crepe pattern, it is just wonderful, I'm about to finish my first dress, only need to put in the lining, very excited :)
ReplyDeleteIf I should win I would love the crepe dress pattern. I only own one Colette pattern so far, the Violet pattern. It is by far one of the best patterns I ever made and I would love to make a dress from a Colette pattern too.
ReplyDeleteI follow you via GFC as Holly S.
ReplyDeleteThat's hard! I've done the Chantilly & the Eclair, but none since then and I am coveting so many of them. I think since Spring is coming, maybe the Crepe. Thanks so much!
hstorm799{at}gmail{dot}com
Hi Kestrel! I saw the magic word Collette and had to come take a look :) I love the Rooibos pattern, and I really love your make of it too - the deep green with the raspberry polka dot is cute as!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I had seen the Sencha and forgotten just where I'd seen it. I purchased some lovely mauve silk a couple of months ago, meaning to find a similar pattern to use it in, having this romantic blouse in my head I wanted to work into my spring palette challenge. I guess I'd been too busy reading the Collette book to check their website recently and see that that was the one I had in my head!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway! gibbylet (at) gmail (dot) com
Nutmeg! Need to spice up my wardrobe (from the inside out,) I am sew grateful to you for hostessing this give away! Lynn Nuhfer99@ aol.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! I have most of the Colette Patterns, but one I've been itching to get lately is the Crepe. With spring around the corner, I can see several variations of this one in my future. :) Such a cute, light dress that would be perfect for the hot weather here in South Texas... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for participating in the Sew Grateful week! I'm really glad I found your blog... ;)
Thank you so much for the give away... Love your blog, so glad I found it... I'd like to make either the Sencha blouse or Rooibos dress, they are both lovely and very feminine... by the way, a big hello from Brazil...
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a long time and really enjoy all you create. (I'm also a cat and costume drama lover :o)). Thank you for this great giveaway. I also really like Colette Pattens and it's a hard choice to pick just one. I do love the Chantilly dress - it's so feminine and summery - and the Sencha blouse. If I had to pick just one it would be the Sencha, as I love the variations, especially the little key-hole option.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Violet pattern! As I've been really wanting to try my hand at making tops lately!

Delurking here...great giveaway, thank you! I really love the Colette patterns as well, and own quite a few. But I don't have the Peony yet, so throw my name in the hat for that, thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHow great! I'd love to make a macaroon! I've always wanted to!
ReplyDeleteI love the Colette patterns!! I really want to try Sencha.
ReplyDeleteHi there, thanks for hosting a giveaway! I'm a first-time commenter and about to go explore your archives a bit :D
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Parfait pattern! I saw it made up in corduroy by Sarai on the Coletterie blog, and immediately decided I must make one in similar fabric for a jumper/pinafore dress - and then I just found the perfect 60s floral cord fabric at a local vintage shop! It must be fate, haha!
How lovely! I've been wanting the Beignet for quite some time, and that's been down to the lovely photos of people's makes, including yours, Kerry. The Colette patterns are so elegant and simple. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose from Colette's... I love Ooolong - such a classic style - and Lady Grey, which seems like a very versatile and elegant coat.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I've found your blog. I like the way you write, succintly - it's not all I like about it, but it's something I find hard to do myself, so it's what I particularly admire about it. :-)
Hm, which one would I pick? The clover. Or Jasmine...or Violet. Oh, it's soo difficult. I love all of Colette's patterns!
ReplyDeleteHi! I follow your blog through Google Reader. Thanks for the great giveaway. I'd love to win the clover pattern. I've seen so many adorable versions of them!

What a sweet giveaway! I would love to win the Ginger skirt, please--I'd make it up in denim like the version recently featured on A Fashionable Stitch.
ReplyDeleteCeylon, because it was the very first Colette pattern I fell in love with, but I still don't own it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the Peony. I'm graduating this year and am going to need a pretty graduation dress.
ReplyDeleteI've been admiring the Jasmine blouse for a long time. It's so feminine and versatile. I've seen so many beautiful versions I would love to win it!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Colette designs :) I follow you on my blog reader and I would love to get the Macaron pattern! I've had my eye on it for a while to make a solid colored one with piping around the heart neckline.
ReplyDelete
