Vintage Pattern Pledge Winners!

It has been an absolute honour and a real treat to help select the winners for the 2015 Vintage Pattern Pledge End of Year competition. There were some wonderful items sewn up this year and the choice was definitely challenging. My fellow judges Marie, Amy and Hazel and I have pondered and perused the Pinterest Board and decided on the winners. And I am delighted to announce that the Winners are.....

#vpp1 Dresses

Allie J for her beautiful wedding dress

There were a lot of entries in this category with a great representation of different decades. But it's tricky to beat someone who has made a dress for arguably the biggest event of their life, and what a beautiful dress! The lace is to die for. The judges said:

"Gorgeous dress, perfect fit! And very brave experimenting with lace and silk for her wedding day, but totally worth it!"

"Absolutely love her colour and lace as well as her attention to detail. Inspired now for my own!"

Congratulations Allie, you win a £100 voucher for Minerva Crafts

#vpp2 Tops

Tasha for her cropped top

This top is a double whammy - a restyle from a shirt as part of The Refashioners challenge that uses a vintage McCalls pattern. Tasha has turned a huge man's shirt into a classy crop top.

The judges called it : "a beautiful refashion" and "a cropped 1940s beauty"

Congratulations Tasha, you win a £50 voucher for Remnant Kings

#vpp3 Bottoms

This category was dominated by jumpsuits and playsuits but Carmen's gorgeous dungarees were a hit with the judges who said:

"These are too cool! Wish I could rock 1940s style dungarees like these!"

"Everything about this just shouts vintage to me! Love a land girls theme"

Congratulations Carmen, you win a £50 voucher for Abakhan

#vpp4 Outerwear/Accessories

Nicole for her Plaid Swing Jacket

There were some really strong entries in this category too but Nicole's stylish jacket won out. The judges said:

"I love Nicole's finish on this and the striking fabric she used...would snap it up for myself in a heartbeat!"

"Stylish and really wearable"

Congratulations Nicole, you win Simplicity Reproduction patterns and a year's subscription to Love Sewing magazine

#vpp5 Judges Favourite

Lauriana made a beautiful dress 1930s dress which was really popular with the judges, as well as
drafting a gorgeous 1950s style suit. She was really committed to the pledge and a well-deserved winner.

Congratulations Lauriana, you win $20 credit for Adele Bee Ann patterns and £25 voucher for The Village Haberdashery
