Not much to see here, just my public declaration that I will be taking part in the annual Me Made May challenge. I took part in 2012 and 2011 but as I have a smaller wardrobe to select from this year, I am commiting to only 4 days per week of me-made. Also because my photos might also get really boring as you'll all be seeing the same clothes over and over again.
I'll do just one weekly round up with my 4 outfits, as so many people take part it can get a bit overwhelming, not to mention dull, to be bombarded with outfit posts every day from the various blogs you follow.
So,
'I, Kerry of Kestrel Makes, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May
'13. I will endeavour to wear a handmade item of clothing for 4 days per
week for the duration of May 2013'
I do have a couple of new items in the pipeline plus a maternity restyle that I'm quite excited about, and I'll be doing my best to make an effort and make my outfits interesting.
Are you taking part - whether a regular participant or dipping your toe in for the first time?
K x
I'll just be an enthusiastic bystander (I'm still not all that great with a sewing machine) but I can't wait to see what you, and everyone else, comes up with.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck!

Yep - I'm in! First time for me so I'm keeping it achievable - 3 outfits per week and 3 new makes for the month - should be fun! Good idea about summarising in a once-a-week post, think I'll do that too.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of doing it this year as well, but yes, the wardrobe is much more limited :-) Can't wait to see your maternity restyle!!
ReplyDeleteI am just plucking up the courage right now to join in. I have never done any Me Made months before and my self-made wardrobe is slim but growing. I can't decide how many days are realistic with my little wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteI'm in. Three outfits a week and four new outfits to make in May.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking part for the first time this year! I'm going to try to wear something me-made or refashioned every day. I've given myself the "cheat" that if I'm stuck w/nothing I've made or refashioned, I have to wear vintage. Yikes! I'm nervous and excited.:)
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to your MMM - maternity edition! I'd love to take part too but I wear a uniform to work and I don't think hemming those pants would count as me-made...
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame, unless you wanted to do me made undies! :)
DeleteNeat idea. I can't wait to see your outfits.
ReplyDeleteI will try, I don´t have a lot of handmade clothes, but this is not a problem, i have basic black skirt!%))
ReplyDeleteOh-oh, I can feel my Sewing Bee enthusiasm bubbling up and I'm going to end up signing up to this... I have two dresses and a skirt that I've made myself, plus the odd scarf and brooch.... Still tempted though!!
